TransCanada Shows Support for Children of the City Create Success Program

On Wednesday, August 18th, at a ceremony held at the Children of the City (COC) site, Transcanada was joined by community leaders and the children involved in the summer academic program, for the presentation of a donation check of $25,000. Transcanada, a long-time supporter of the Brooklyn-based children’s organization, is making this donation in support of the many services COC provides to at-risk children and families. The funds will enable COC to further advance their mission of changing the quality of life in the community through education, mentorship, intervention and advocacy.

Since 1981, Children of the City has been serving the underprivileged children in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Starting out as a children’s prevention outreach in the early years, services have evolved to help children and their families achieve success in education, social relationships, home, financial and career. Our dedicated team of professionals and highly committed volunteers visit one thousand children every single month, and provide many services to hundreds of them on a daily and weekly basis. We are dedicated to the young lives we reach every day, helping to give them a better tomorrow.
